H-1B & work-visa loans
Your visa is not a dealbreaker
Plenty of lenders count H-1B and EAD income. You just need to know which ones.
Is this you?
- ·You're on H-1B, H-4 EAD, or another work visa
- ·A bank said you need more history or won't count your income
- ·You're buying your first U.S. home or moving up
How qualifying works
Lenders who work with visa holders look at job stability, how long your visa is valid, and your documented pay. A green card isn't always required. RSUs and bonuses can count too, when they're documented correctly.
What you'll need (typical)
- → Valid visa or EAD documentation
- → 2 years of employment history (may vary by lender)
- → Pay stubs, W-2s, or employer letter
- → Bank statements for your down payment
Typical requirements. Every lender is a little different.
